Why we only buy Ethical Diamonds

The origin of our Diamonds is of the utmost importance to us, and we actively work towards ensuring these ethical standards are continuously met.

When it comes to buying diamonds, many people are understandably conscious of the origins of the stones. At Quality Diamonds, we would never purchase a stone that has not been ethically sourced. We ensure all of our suppliers work within the Kimberley Process Scheme, and that the Diamond has been sourced and cut by a participant in this process.

The Kimberley Process Scheme has been around since 2002 and has been working towards eradicating the illegal diamond trade. Whilst conflict diamonds do still exist, around 99% of the world's diamond supply is now conflict-free.

More often than not, when people think of the diamond mining industry, they focus on the negativity surrounding conflict diamonds. What most people do not realise, is how conflict-free diamonds actually benefit the developing countries from which they are mined and have improved the living conditions for millions of people.
