7 in Trend Gemstone Rings (Part 2)

August 06 2022

In this blog are three of our seven most popular gemstone rings, available now from our ready-to-wear collection!

Amethyst

Amethyst: the birthstone for February and the most popular variety of Quartz Crystals, considered to be the most powerful and protective stone.

The colour of this stone ranges from a deep cool blue to a reddish purple, often referred to as ‘Raspberry’.

Cushion Cut Amethyst Halo Ring in 18K White Gold

Our Cushion Cut 18K White Gold Halo Bijou holds the 1ct Central Amethyst in a four claw setting with surrounding brilliant round diamonds micro-pave set in the shoulders totalling 0.48ct.

The Amethyst measures 5mm x 5mm, the band measures 2mm wide with a traditional court profile and is currently sized at a J.

Sapphire

Sapphire is the birthstone for September, this stone is among the most durable naturally occurring elements in the world.

Though Sapphires are most known for their rich blue colours, they also come in almost every colour of the rainbow including pink, orange, peach, yellow, green, teal and purple. The rarest type of sapphire is a pinkish orange variety called padparadscha.

Amazingly there is also a sapphire type that changes colour depending on the lighting, changing from a blue in daylight to bluish-purple in incandescent light.

1.06ct Oval Blue Sapphire Diamond Set Halo Ring in 18K Yellow Gold

Our Oval Cut Halo Bijou holds the Oval cut 1.06cts Blue Sapphire in a four claw setting with surrounding brilliant round diamonds micro-pave set in the shoulders totalling 0.45cts.

The Sapphire measures 7mm x 5mm, the band measures 2mm wide with a traditional court profile and is currently sized at a K 1/2.

Tanzanite

Known for being the birthstone for December, Tanzanite is only found in one place in the world! The Mererani Hills of Northern Tanzania, near the city of Arusha and Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s only mined in an area of four square kilometres wide: making it a very rare gemstone.

A Tanzanite is Trickroic, meaning it gives off three different colours - often radiating blue, violet and burgundy but sometimes even yellow.

It’s valued by its depth of colour - the deeper the colour, the more valuable the stone.

0.70ct Round Tanzanite Diamond Set Ring in Platinum

Our Platinum Mirabelle crosses underneath the Brilliant Round 0.70ct Tanzanite into a Tiffany style Lucida setting. With the tapered shoulders lifting towards the diamond creating an elegant and classic design. With Fourteen GVS Brilliant Round Diamonds Channel set into the shoulders totalling 0.21cts.

The Tanzanite measures 5mm, the band measures 2.8mm wide with a flat court profile and it's currently sized at an M.
